Description

Our MgO sulfate boards are intended for use in any construction as exterior structural sheathing (1/2-inch-thick boards only), floor underlayment, and interior surfaces, as defined in IBC Section 2502. They can be used as substrate sheets suitable for decoration with paint, wallpaper, ceramic tile, natural stone, or dimension stone on walls in interior dry areas. They may also be used as interior and exterior facers for sandwich panels.

Standards

LibertyMag MgO Sulfate Board exceeds ANSI standards for cementitious backer units (CBU). See ANSI A118.9 for test methods and specifications for ANSI A108.11 for interior installation. Exceeds industry standards as an exterior substrate for exterior finishes. Our board exceeds ASTM C1325 standards for non-asbestos fiber-mat reinforced cementitious backer units.

Materials

LibertyMag MgO Sulfate Boards are formed in a continuous process of aggregated phosphate-based magnesium oxide with polymer-coated, glass-fiber mesh completely encompassing edges and back and front surfaces. The edges are formed smooth with a patented poly-propylene fabric-wrapped edge. The ends are square cut.
